RAISING THE BAR IN SAFETY

A NEW SOLUTION FOR COURIER/DRIVER SAFETY

STAY AHEAD OF THE RISK™

Courier/delivery services workers accounted for nearly one out of every five fatally injured workers nationally. The rate of occupational injury in the courier/delivery services industry is the highest of any transportation sector segment.

Delivery drivers face a spectrum of hazards including transportation accidents, overexertion, falls, slips, and trips, injury from objects or equipment, and violence by other persons and aggressive animals. Drivers are viewed as soft targets and often transport valuable items, are especially vulnerable to robbery and theft.

Employers have a duty to keep their drivers safe, including compliance with the OSHA duty of care.

AlertGPS offers the most advanced safety solution on the market, tailored to address the unique risks faced by delivery/courier drivers.

AlertGPS Active Halo® 4G LTE Capabilities

Our safety wearable is easy to use and has only one button on its face to press to initiate a two-way SOS voice call to our 24/7 monitoring center. The hands-free speakerphone requires no action on the part of the device holder to answer. The employee’s location information is instantly available to our monitoring center, and also visible on the company’s secure dashboard.

The simplicity of the device design recognizes that in stress situations, fine and complex motor skills (such as those required to operate a cell phone) are diminished, along with the ability to multi-task.

The AlertGPS Platform

  • AlertGPS’s Scalable, Redundant Cloud-Based Architecture provides optimum availability while ensuring customer privacy and segregation.
  • Multi-Tenant architecture provides each customer their own secure, fully customizable dashboard that’s easy to use and can be accessed via computer, smartphone or tablet.
  • Authorized users can actively monitor current & past locations of all workers, graphically displayed on an interactive map. A log of each location is instantly viewable for each worker.
  • Robust role-based permission architecture allows customers to (i) create employee groups, (ii) assign specific alerts to managers or carriers within each group, and (iii) view-limit managers to only those employees for whom they are responsible.
  • Full Reporting & Analytics capabilities (downloadable in PDF, CSV & Excel)
  • The AlertGPS IoT Platform offers customizable Alerting options. Each Alert can be sent in real-time via email/text to an unlimited number of designated recipients (e.g. managers, safety officer, etc.).

AlertGPS Platform Alerting Features

SOS Alerts: Upon SOS button press, the AlertGPS system generates an SOS Alert to all designated Alert recipients (e.g. employee’s manager).
SMART ZONE ALERTS Create Smart Zones around specified geographic areas and designated Alert recipients will receive a Zone Alert immediately after the device-holder enters or exits the Smart Zone.
PREDATOR ALERTS Predator Alerts are delivered to designated Alert recipients when the device-holder comes within a pre-selected range of a registered sex offender’s home (e.g. 500 feet).
THREAT ZONE ALERTS Threat Zones are established by the customer around known hazardous areas (e.g. a home with an aggressive dog) and are a useful way of ensuring compliance with OSHA’s requirement that employers provide employees advance notice of a known threat. Threat Zone Alerts are delivered to designated Alert recipients when the device-holder comes within a preselected range (e.g. 1000 ft) of a Threat Zone.
CHECK-IN ALERTS When a worker presses the Check-In button on their device, a Check-In Alert with the worker’s location is delivered to designated Alert recipients.
SPEED ALERTS When the device-carrier exceeds a selected maximum speed threshold (e.g. 70mph) a Speed Alert is delivered to designated Alert recipients.
BREADCRUMB ALERTS Breadcrumb Alerts enable managers to be alerted regarding the employee’s location on a pre-determined schedule. So, for example, if a manager needs to keep closer track of a new employee and the manager wants to have the employee’s location information pushed to them every hour via text, the manager just sets a Breadcrumb Alert and select the desired reporting interval to automatically receive regular SMS alerts with the employees exact location.
FALL DETECTION ALERTS The AlertGPS system generates a fall related SOS Alert when the device detects a fall.

MONITORING CENTER FEATURE SPOTLIGHT

COMPANION CALL

If a worker feels uneasy for any reason (e.g. unfamiliar neighborhood, dark parking lot), they can press the SOS button and speak with a Monitoring Center agent who will stay on the line until the worker indicates that all is well. The agent is prepared to dispatch help immediately if needed.

FALL DETECTION

If a worker falls, the Active Halo® device will automatically initiate an audible message. If the device-holder does not cancel the alert the device auto-calls our Monitoring Center. The agent will dispatch emergency assistance if help is needed, even if the worker is non-responsive.
